PLEASE READ CAREFULLY


  1. Byron Bay Ballooning is owned by Byron Bay Ballooning P/L. All flights are conducted under the Air Operator Certificate of Byron Bay Ballooning.
  2. A Flight Confirmation or Gift Voucher entitles you to participate in a hot-air balloon flight with Byron Bay Ballooning or one of our affiliates. Please phone our central booking office for any information or bookings. Bookings are essential. Call 02 6684 7880 or 0414 558 794. Office hours are 10am to 5 pm, seven days.
  3. The voucher is not refundable.
  4. The booking is transferable to another person. If another ‘gift voucher’ is to be issued, there will be a $15.00 administration fee.
  5. Children under 4 years old are not eligible to fly.
  6. We ask all passengers to sign a disclaimer and liability release form prior to the flight.
  7. If your flight is cancelled due to inclement weather conditions, you may rebook or get a full refund.
  8. Hot-air balloon flights are completely dependent upon the weather and are regulated by Civil Aviation Safety Regulations. It may be necessary to postpone a flight at any time if in our judgment, the conditions are not suitable.
  9. We reserve the right to cancel a flight at any time up to the moment of launch.
  10. Gift Voucher remains valid for 1 year from month of purchase.
  11. If you do not arrive in time for the flight and you miss it or are a "no show", the booking is forfeited and neither re booking nor a refund will be made. If we are holding a credit card for security and you miss the flight, the credit card will be debited.
  12. Any changes of flight dates before 7 days of the confirmed flight date will incur a booking fee of $50.00 per person.
  13. Flights may not be altered within 7 days prior to the flight date or the ticket is forfeited and neither refund, nor a re booking will be made. This also applies to bookings made for vouchers.
  14. Personal belongings such as cameras are taken aboard at your own risk.
  15. Please inform the office staff of any current, ongoing or old injuries or conditions that you may have when booking your flight.
  16. It is your responsibility to mention any medical problems, injuries or conditions to the pilot prior to your flight as Byron Bay Ballooning will accept no liability for any incident occurring if you have failed to disclose any pre-existing condition or injury.
  17. We carry Air Carriers Liability Act Insurance up to $500,000 per passenger and $5,000,000 combined single limit legal liability. If you require more insurance, see your insurance broker.
  18. By setting foot in one of our vehicles or balloons you are accepting that you are operating under Byron Bay Ballooning Air Operators Certificate, issued by the Civil Aviation Safety Authority of Australia. (Other affiliate operators will have their own registration system.)
